Inclusive First Aid & Hearing Health Initiative
Inclusive health education, without barriers
Yardimeli Specialist Hospital brought accessible first aid education and preventive hearing care to students with hearing disabilities through sign-language-supported training and free health screening.

The initiative supported participation, dignity, inclusion and equal access to health information.
Story 01The program gave students essential knowledge about common emergencies and basic first aid. Practical demonstrations helped participants understand how to respond with greater awareness and confidence.
Sign-language interpretation was included throughout the session so students could follow each demonstration, ask questions and take part meaningfully. The training was adapted to the students’ communication needs instead of expecting them to adapt to a standard session.
Story 02Alongside first aid education, Yardimeli Specialist Hospital provided free ear examinations and hearing health screening for the participating students.
Bringing education and screening together connected health knowledge with practical access to care. It also encouraged awareness of ear and hearing health and the value of preventive healthcare.
